The FlyRite Story

Hal remains committed to upholding the standards set by Peter Jenkins, ensuring that FlyRite continues to lead the industry in quality maintenance and overhaul services for many years to come.

A Rich Aviation Heritage

The story of FlyRite began in 1996 with Peter Jenkins, whose extensive experience in the Northwest Territories aviation sector provided the foundation for a business built on rugged reliability and technical expertise. After honing his skills in the demanding environments of the north, Peter brought his vision to Edmonton, where he officially established FlyRite to serve the specialized needs of aircraft operators.

Expanding Professional Excellence

As the demand for high-quality starter generator services grew, the business expanded into larger facilities to meet the needs of a maturing market. Over decades of operation, FlyRite earned a sterling reputation for integrity and precision, becoming a preferred partner for customers who value consistent airworthiness and a personal commitment to safety and mechanical excellence.

A New Chapter of Continuity

In 2025, Peter began working closely with Hal Hobenshield in a dedicated mentorship role to ensure the long-term success of the business. This careful transition period was designed to preserve the deep technical knowledge and customer-first values that have defined the company since the 1990s, guaranteeing that every customer continues to receive the expert service they have come to depend on. After drinking from the firehoese, both Hal and Peter were confident that Hal was ready for SCA on August 25, 2026.
